Sometimes it’s tough to come up with fun questions to get to know someone. If your mind goes blank when you’re in a conversation, these talking points will help in any situation!
Fun Conversation Starters
Meeting new people is fun and you never know when that new person will be your next kindred spirit. While some of us have the gift for gab, not everyone is a natural conversationalist. But like any art form, we can get better at meaningful conversation.
I’ve compiled a list of conversation starters and fun questions to get to know someone special. Actually these questions can help you get to know most anyone. And by “anyone,” I mean:
- A new date or love interest
- Your partner (because y’all still have interesting things to say to each other!)
- Parents, grandparents, aunties, and uncles
- Random cousins at the kids’ table
- Your BFF
- A team member at work you’d like to get to know
I don’t necessarily mean:
- A stranger on the plane whose head is in a book
- Your plumber
- The cop who just pulled you over
- The bouncer at the club
- The DoorDash delivery pro
- A demon
If you have a date coming up or just want to get to know your bestie better, check out these conversation starters below. Hope a few strike your fancy!
