Starfish Project
One day, when I was kind of daydreaming off into la-la land, I decided I was going to see what jewelry companies are out there that also have a mission of helping others. (I do have a bit of a jewelry obsession that probably started with my ’80s bangles and Mr. T jewelry like these vintage sets on Ebay!)
I just did an internet search and found a few sparklers that immediately caught my eye.
One was Starfish Project.

They’re top-of-mind when I think of what to gift to my girls. I think another thing I love about this brand is that their customer service is friendly and helpful. I once had a question about my order and they responded immediately and graciously.

The Unemployed Philosophers Guild
For quirky, unusual gifts that literary enthusiasts love, I go to The Unemployed Philosophers Guild. I have this Jane Austen mug and it’s one of my favorites.
I’ve been drinking out of it for at least five or six years and it’s the perfect size for morning coffee AND washes well in the dishwasher.

Immaculate Vegan
This vegan clothing brand offers chic, modern styles, including accessories like purses made from Apple Leather and Olive Leather. They have some really snazzy shoes and boots, too! (Please don’t judge them just because I just said “snazzy.”)
Noxgear
I’ve been using the LightHound LED dog harness for years and I LOVE IT. This glow-in-the-dark harness comes with tons of light settings that change colors or stay on the color you and your fur child prefer!
I charge mine through my computer USB extension and the charge lasts a long time.
It’s also machine washable!
Expedia
Find all sorts of travel info and bookings, including their top-rated green hotels. I like using this resource to look for reasonable prices and sustainable hotels, plus pet-friendly places!
JewelScent
These are not only wonderfully scented candles, but they come with…JEWELRY! Inside each candle is a ring or another type of jewelry that’s revealed once the candle is burned about a third of the way down. The surprise is like Christmas every time!
JewelScent jewelry is pretty and comes with a code to check the appraised value online. You never know–your ring might be worth big or big-ish bucks! Every ring I’ve gotten is nice quality and none of them have tarnished over the years.
