Betterway Bamboo Paper Towels are my favorite! You can buy Betterway by clicking this pic!

There are so many reasons to switch to cleaner, less toxic, environmentally-savvy products. From allergies to fragrance sensitivities to wanting to do better for our planet and animals, I can understand why you’re seeking to improve your household cleaning lineup!

If you’re like me, all of the reasons above are why I buy earth-friendly products: toilet paper, paper towels, and laundry sheets, for instance!

I got really fed up with cleaners that tested on animals, which were also typically cleaners that were packed with a lot of unnatural ingredients. So I started searching for cruelty-free and earth-friendly options. I now do this for every product I use. I haven’t perfected it, but I’d say probably 95% of the items I buy are environmentally-friendly and cruelty-free. There are lots of choices out there!

Many of these products have also made my life easier, regardless of earth-friendliness or not! After reading, I hope you’ll find a few new ideas to make your life easier, too.

This post is all about awesome, earth-friendly products.

Earth-Friendly Products: Toilet Paper

This is earth-friendly toilet paper by Betterway, part of my eco-friendly products brands list.

1. Betterway Toilet Paper

If we must talk about toilet paper, let us begin with Betterway!

This FSC Certified, bamboo toilet tissue is everything one looks for in toilet paper––or at least what I look for! It’s soft, nicely textured, and comes individually-wrapped in these gorgeous, designed papers in peach, pea green, and various grays. Not only is this attractive for open shelves, it also feels more hygienic.

ALSO, for all of you who love some crafted language, the product writing is clever and fun to read. Companies with a sense of humor get my vote!

With Betterway, there’s no plastic wrap that comes with this toilet paper. The packaging is all recyclable materials! Also, by buying responsibly-sourced bamboo paper, you’re helping to reduce deforestation happening all over the world.

I typically do an online subscription so that I’m never out of toilet tissue. A sad, lone, empty roll would be NO GOOD. Now, if you’re a bidet babe or beau, I admire and envy you! I don’t have one in my home, but think that’s a very cool earth-friendly addition to any powder room or loo.

Earth-Friendly Products: Paper Towels

2. Betterway Paper Towels

This is a photo of Betterway paper towels, which is one of my favorite eco-friendly products brands

Betterway paper towels are also individually-wrapped in pretty papers! I love them!

Also FSC Certified bamboo, they’re natural brown and absorb just like any other quality paper towel. I’d pick them even if I wasn’t concerned about the environment.

All paper towels are also compostable, so if you have to clean up with one, you can feel better adding them back to the earth.

I’ve been buying Betterway for at least a few years now and I’ve been really happy!

Earth-Friendly Products: Laundry

Of the many earth-friendly cleaning products I like, this is a photo of a package of Earth Breeze laundry sheets sitting in a plant.

3. Earth Breeze Laundry Sheets

As far as cleaning products go, nothing has probably changed my life more than laundry sheets. I’ve been into Earth Breeze for a while now and they are AWESOME. I mean, I literally tell everyone about these.

For a full load, I usually use about 3 sheets. I also rip them into smaller pieces, but if you don’t have time for that, just throw the whole sheet in over your clothes. I also sprinkle the pieces toward the back of the washer since some rogue sheets might try to stick to the front of your washer window, if you have a front-loading washer. (Gotta admire a rebel in the group!)

Why do I love thee, laundry sheets?

  • No heavy, gargantuan, plastic bottle, which means no sticky, icky mess! (Or pulled muscles!)
  • Biodegradable packaging: You can plant in your garden and it breaks down in DAYS.
  • Easy to tear apart
  • Strangely satisfying to rip up into little pieces
  • Takes up very little room in my very little house
  • Just toss in the washer!
  • Cruelty-free, vegan, and Leaping Bunny Certified (These are big deals for me.)
  • My husband like LOVES them. WHAT.
  • Did I mention NO PLASTIC???

What laundry sheets are doing for our oceans and waterways is the main reason I started buying them. But they are literally more efficient and convenient than classic laundry detergent.

Earth Breeze also donates 10 loads of detergent with every purchase to charitable organizations, including women’s shelters and animal shelters. This makes my heart feel hope.

On Earth Breeze Eco Sheets
That I “Did Not At All”
Coerce My Husband To Talk About:

“They’re easy. They’re not messy.
You just throw a sheet in there
and it’s ready to go.
Simplicity. I like it.”

Jon

4. Frey Laundry Sheets

Hey, I also love Frey! They probably have the MOST satisfying texture to pull apart and toss over those dirty drawers. I’m a fan for many of the same reasons I love Earth Breeze.

Here are some more reasons:

  • Lovely scents! And I’m not really a scent person because some give me headaches. But I like these.
  • Certified B-Corporation
  • PETA Certified, meaning they do NOT test on animals
  • Plant-derived ingredients
  • One order = one planted tree!

Earth-Friendly Products: All-Purpose Cleaner

5. Puracy

Puracy makes a plant-based, all-purpose cleaner that’s gentle on MANY surfaces. I use it on my cultured marble shower because it’s non-damaging to the surface.

This is a brand I researched and tried on my own because I was sick and tired of chemicals and companies that use these chemicals to test on animals. Once I discovered how much of a thing this was, I had to change. Bunnies and other cuddly creatures are just too special.

The Puracy scent is natural and mild and kind of smells like fresh seasoning, like you’ve hired a professional chef to whip up something exquisite, instead of actually just burning your microwave broccoli and cheese.

Here are other reasons I love Puracy Natural Surface Cleaner:

  • Certified Cruelty-Free
  • Vegan
  • Gluten-Free
  • Hypoallergenic
  • Made in the USA
  • Use it as shower cleaner, kitchen counter cleaner, sink cleaner, glass cleaner, and pretty much on any non-fabric surface!

Cautionary Tale:

Don’t use vinegar on cultured marble or marble.
I learned this the hard way…and scratched up my sink!
Now it has LOTS of character!

Otherwise, vinegar can be a wonderful natural cleaner
for other surfaces; just not the softer stones.

Earth-Friendly Products: Kitchen

6. Blueland

This is Blueland foaming hand soap, sitting by a vase of flowers and punch bowl, which is included in my earth-friendly products list.
Pop these soap packets in a glass jar like this one and, voila, you’re ready for all your refills! Shop this look here.

The two products that I consistently use from Blueland are their Foaming Hand Soap & Dishwasher Detergent Tablets.

Blueland’s Foaming Hand Soap Starter Kit includes soap tablets that dissolve in warm water and a glass bottle with a reusable pump.

I love that:

  • The paper tablet wrap is compostable.
  • The glass bottles are refillable.
  • They’re B Corp Certified.
  • They’re Leaping Bunny Certified Cruelty-Free.
  • They’re vegan.
  • They’re Climate Neutral.
  • The scents are nice!
  • They’re made without parabens, phosphates, dyes, and other unsavory ingredients some of us like to avoid!

Blueland’s Dishwasher Detergent Tablets also have a starter kit that includes a cute, blue refillable tin and the detergent tabs. They’re 100% plastic-free, unscented, and free from dyes, preservatives, and phosphates.

As I mentioned above, I love that they’re vegan and Leaping Bunny Certified Cruelty-Free. To me, progressive = compassionate!

These detergent tablets pop into the dishwasher dispenser where you’d place your average pods. And one bag lasts in my home for a long time.

I’ve also tried some of their shower products, like their refillable shampoo! If you’re looking to add to your repertoire and buy earth-friendly products that can become staples in your home, check out the Blueland website for their full product line.

7. Swedish Dish Cloths

Swedish dish cloths are like reusable paper towels. I’ve been using the same ones for about 3 years! They were gifted to me by a sweet work friend for my wedding. She’s a doll!

These Swedish dish cloths wash in the dishwasher or you can sanitize in the microwave. Right out of the dishwasher, they’re damp, so I hang them on this stick-on towel holder to dry!

As you can see here and here, they come in lots of whimsical colors and designs.

When you use these nifty, little cloths, you’re saving so much paper and resources. They also make great gifts for really anyone who spills stuff!

Earth-Friendly Wrap-Up

Here’s a summary of items that make my life a bit easier:

  • Betterway Bamboo Toilet Paper
  • Betterway Bamboo Paper Towels
  • Earth Breeze Eco Sheets for Laundry
  • Frey Detergent Sheets for Laundry
  • Puracy All-Purpose Cleaner
  • Blueland Foaming Hand Soap
  • Blueland Dishwasher Tablets
  • Swedish Dish Cloths and more here and more here!
  • Stick-On Hand Towel Holder
  • Glass Canisters with Bamboo Lids

This post was a compilation of some of my favorites on my earth-friendly products list! Hope you’ve found a few new ideas for your beautiful home, beauty!

I grew up at a time when tape recorders and casset I grew up at a time when tape recorders and cassettes were the most advanced technology we had at home. So we played outside A LOT.

When I see a whimsical field or clouds that look like animals or an old shade tree untouched by the modern world, I can find my childhood again. I remember the aliveness of being in the fresh air and kicking through the leaves.

I hope you had times in your life that you can return to with fond memories. And I hope they comfort you today and always.

Plant some. Grow some. Buy a bouquet. Walk through a pretty park or nature preserve. Even look at pictures of flowers. (That’s what I do in the winter!)

I grew up in a country home for the first decade o I grew up in a country home for the first decade of my life. I was always outside exploring, stretching my imagination, and even taking pictures of flowers back then. On a camera with film, y’all📸😎

Nature was second nature to me, something I just lived in and experienced.

And now I think how amazing it was to grow up among miles of trees and babbling creeks and SO many lightning bugs.

I remember how Mother Earth made me feel and now know how much that has influenced me today.

This is why I write about nature and being stewards of our planet because it not only matters how it makes us feel, but it’s everything.
