Today is the first annual #GoodAllDay ♥️🎉🥃🌈🌷Yay! This day honors the life of Dr. Jane Goodall, a compassionate voice for animals, nature, and people.

It’s also her birthday!🎂

I talk a lot about Dr. Jane Goodall, the impact she made in this world, the impact she’s made in my life♥️

Today, she would’ve been 92. Today, many miss her dearly.

But we can keep her memory alive with love.

Do something good today that honors her.

Plant flowers.

Tell someone they matter.

Hug a doggie.

It doesn’t have to be big or glorious to make a difference. It just has to be kind.

Because I absolutely abhor recycling that doesn’t get recycled, I chose this method that keeps A LOT out of the landfill, plus turns things like chip bags into building materials. Cool!

Plus, it’s very affordable. I think a new replacement bag is about 12 bucks.

And the people at Ridwell are super nice every time you email them. And, boy oh boy, have I emailed them🤣

This fall, I saw this fuzzy wuzzy on my patio and

This fall, I saw this fuzzy wuzzy on my patio and was so mesmerized by such a little life exploring the world. The little buddy just kept on keeping on and actually lived in the fallen foliage by the house for weeks. (I brought it leafy bits and water droplets😩)

From my internet research (which is ALWAYS right, as we all know🤣), this little one will hopefully be an Isabella tiger moth in the spring. And I like to think it’ll fly by to say hi🦋

Maybe if this tiny critter can survive the harsh winter, the predators seeking to survive, too, and transform into a fluttery, winged wonder, then we’ve also got a chance at turning our actions into something good.

I just wanted to say that. But it’s Sunday, and according to my Southern upbringing, it’s the day of rest. So, I hope you all rest your minds today and enjoy this little video.

I’m seeing my daffodil bulbs I planted last fall popping up and I’m like A. I can’t believe I followed the directions right! and B. But what if the frost hurts my little flower babies?! 🌼🌷🩷

It may and it may not, but what I love about these hardy little guys is that they press on, literally from the soil to the light, even when conditions are less than ideal.

They teach me that maybe we can also overcome more than we think. We’re strong, petal♥️🌷💪🏽

So, if you see a daffodil popping up in the snow, remember all it went through to get there. Remember all you went through to get here…and how very beautiful you are, too🩷🩷🩷

My older brother unexpectedly passed away when I w

My older brother unexpectedly passed away when I was a teenager. And because we didn’t take many photos together and he left few belongings behind, I tend to pull from the same collection of memories to remember him🌈

My brother loved the movie, Dances with Wolves, and the glorious music that accompanied its epic scenes. And I cannot listen to that theme song and not think of him, hearing this music soar from his room, through the house, so peaceful and so painful, too.

He was in a lot of emotional pain, more than many would ever understand or attempt to. But nature and music were a balm for him.

That’s what we have in common, too. Nature and music. And I try to honor him through those things, through our mutual love for beauty, through our kindred respect for everything wondrous and wild.
